Misibis Bay Scrumptious Buffet Meals - Where it all started

When I changed the domain name of our food blog from dietmotivator.blogspot.com to www.sexynomnom.com, it was also around that time that I started exhibiting symptoms of GERD or Gastroesophageal reflux disease. It may have been triggered by all those buffet meals (breakfast buffets, lunch buffets, dinner buffets) we had at Misibis Bay in October made worse by drinking lots of coffee every single day for so many years now, eating lots of chocolates and ice cream, sleeping right after eating, or days when I don't eat at all then I suddenly eat a mountain of food in one go, and a whole month (or had it been months? I can't recall anymore) of not sleeping well. In short, I was not taking care of myself, coupled with stress from work and problems at the home front.

La Carmela de Boracay Dinner Buffet

I'm on my 20th night here in Boracay. For three days now, I've been trying to have what I've been craving for --- sinigang na baboy & chicken barbecue at Andok's, moist chocolate cake & crinkles at Budgetmart. But every time I'd thought of finally going there, something always came up. Either I was full, I was tired or I just wanted to swim and snorkel all day and rest at night. But tonight, I was really raring to go.

Boracay Buffet @ Bamboo Bar

So there we were in Boracay... after more than an hour of walking from Stations 3 to 1 and back, we ended up near where we came from which was at Boracay Station 3. For us, it has the most appetizing and affordable buffet we can find --- dinner buffet at Bamboo Bar at Station 3 for only Php250.00.

Sofitel Buffet Treat

Sofitel Sunset/OutdoorBuffet

This may be a super delayed post but we'd still like to share here the wonderful (albeit overpriced) Valentine's dinner buffet we had at Sofitel with Popsy. Everything tasted scrumptious. I think the only thing that we didn't find exquisite was their grilled lamb chops. They were a bit bland. It's a good thing that the mint sauce that went with it more than compensated for the taste. Other than that, every other dish we had tasted good and was lovely.

This is one of my favorites. Their salad included some edible flower petals.

The waiter said these glasses of champagne were complementary. But I think it's one of the reasons why our bill reach P13k that night.
