Tuna and Vegetable Sandwich + Hot Pot of Green Tea

I plan to lay low on butter and oil the rest of the month... or at least for this week. All these yummy food I've been preparing and eating are making me feel heavy and lethargic that's why today, I did not only start doing kickboxing and yoga again, but I only had a healthy tuna and vegetable sandwich for both breakfast and lunch plus a hot pot of green tea.

While I was toasting two pieces of wheat bread, I opened a can of tuna, drained the liquid and put the tuna contents in a little bowl. I added the slices of onions I did earlier, put a dash of salt, pepper, basil, rosemary, cinnamon, and thyme then poured around 2 tbsps. each of mayonnaise and ketchup then mixed them all together.

I prepared slices of fresh tomato, cucumber, carrot and cheese.

When the bread was toasted, I placed both of them on a big plate, covered one side with a fresh leaf of Chinese Pechay, scooped three spoonfuls of my tuna mixture and put it on top of the pechay, then layered the whole thing with the rest of the veggie slices and cheese before I covered them with the other slice of toasted bread.

Everything came out yummy. I should do more of this the rest of the week. Let's see. I think I already lost a pound or two. ^_^ Bon appetit!

  1. Sandwich looks yummy, definitely healthy! I'm trying to eat healthier this year too. I wanna lose all the pounds I gained during the holidays for good.
