Scooby's and The Bean Connection, Dumaguete City

The first time I went to Scooby's with my hubby Peter, I ordered their spaghetti and I couldn't forget it since. It was one of the best tasting fastfood spaghetti I had so far, competing with my love for Jollibee's spaghetti.  hehehe. So of course, when I went to Scooby's this month, I once again ordered their spaghetti and as usual, I was satisfied. It's sweet and tomatoey at the same time, just the way I like my spaghetti. But that's not all. I went again twice, with my bessy Hanz, for lunch and for dinner. We were both on a tight budget and were looking for affordable and seemingly home-cooked meals. The canteen-like dishes offered at Scooby's were good enough for us. They were filling and quite tasty too.

My ChicBoy Experience in Alabang

Our friend, Koryn, visited us last night. Actually, she arrived at around 1 am this dawn. She just came from work at Bandila, ABS-CBN and naturally she was quite tired. Peter also just came home from work and was napping. As for me, I was still so wide awake. I was watching the news about the devastating tsunami in Japan, changing channels from Fox News to BBC to CNN. Honestly, I haven't been eating much since the devastating news broke out. I guess I just lost my appetite. But when Koryn got here, my tummy started to grumble. After some chitchat, we all decided to go somewhere that's open 24 hours. We dropped by 7-11 first to get my favorite French Vanilla Cappuccino (the only coffee I crave for since December 2010) then Peter suggested that we go to ChicBoy.

Figaro's All-Day Breakfast

Figaro Coffee Company is one of those coffee shops that we still patronize. We love the taste of their coffee and the prices are sensible. We also love their food selection especially Pasta Ala Carlo and the Tuscan Chicken meal. Anyway, they just recently launched their all-day breakfast offering.

Figaro Coffee Company's NEW All-Day Breakfast is set on an affordable price (Php150-75.00) that you will surely enjoy not just in the morning, but anytime of the day.

My Disney Mugs & My Iced Coffee

I had a pretty big breakfast this morning. I had an orange, scrambled eggs with lots of tomatoes and onions, toasted slices of meatloaf, rice and a glass of mango juice. I guess they all made me sleepy. Since I need to finish tons of work today, I made myself some iced cold coffee. My hubby taught me how to use the coffee press a long time ago. What I do is put 4 tablespoons of ground coffee beans, 2 tablespoons of cream, 3 tablespoons of muscovado sugar, add a pinch of salt, a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg plus boiling water, mix them well and let it sit for five minutes in the coffee press. Afterward, I press it and voila --- what I have is a nice pot of brewed coffee. That's what I did yesterday. And there was about a mug of coffee left. I placed it in the fridge. This morning, I took my leftover coffee and poured it on my  favorite Minnie Mouse coffee mug filled with ice (which I bought  in  Disneyland, Hong Kong two years ago).  It tastes soooo good!!! Too bad Peter didn't go home again last night. So it's just me, my Minnie mug with coffee and Peter's empty Mickey mug. ^_^ Cheers!
